Look what I found♥

So there's this tree that I walk past on campus on a daily basis. I've passed it so many times, I can't even count. I never paid much attention to it because, duh, it's just a tree.

That stopped Monday when I rounded the corner and saw exactly what it was.








Can you see the butterfly hiding in the petals? ^_^


I think I'm going to make this my Facebook profile picture.

It smells so beautiful when the wind catches the flowers just right and sends the scent on the breeze. The petals have already started falling, but I figure they'll still be around for the remaining two weeks of school... unless it rains a lot. I hope the tree stays in bloom long enough for my mom to see it. She's always wanted to see the sakura but will probably never make it to Japan.

Ahaha, I doubt you go to my school since it's not famous and it's in the middle of a cornfield, but that would be super awesome if you were close! I go to Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL. This picture was taken between some residence halls, a classroom building (Simpkins Hall?), and behind the tree is Memorial Hall.

Even if we're still far away (stupid U.S.! >_<*), would you like to be LJ friends? I noticed you prefer the older JE groups, as do I.♥

well, the cornfields are precisely why I thought we may be at the same place. i go to urbana champaign which is in the middle of a cornfield too. So that makes it central illinois, so are we near?

Ooo! U of I! Technically, that's close. :D Actually I drive by Champaign-Urbana when I go back home. It's about 2 1/2 hours from here.

I added you back so now my LJ won't be such a mystery. ^_^;; (I've not had a chance to make a proper introduction post.) Mini intro: Robin, soon to be 28, grad student with one semester left, loves JE as well (Arashi, V6, Tokio, Kinki, and more to varying degrees.)
